Overview and Guide

There is currently a limited supply of Hermes Cargo Spaceships in Black Eye Galaxy, only 200 of these cargo haulers were manufactured.

Release date: July 2021

Units sold: 206

Overview

The Hermes Cargo spaceship was manufactured by BEO Offensive Systems on the planet Iris. The Hermes Cargo spaceship was first named the AM 1 Armoured Logistics ship. This ship was formally used to transport heavy military weapons and vehicles for the Armoured Divisions of various military forces during the Resource Wars of Iris. These ships were manufactured in high quantities to serve the increasing demand of weaponry on the front lines. Post conflict, a large surplus of these ships were acquired by the Irisian Transport and Cargo Federation, where they were re-designated the Hermes Cargo Transport Ship.

The Hermes Cargo spaceship was renamed the Hermes Cargo light transport ship due to their ability to haul cargo, quickly and freely, opening new trading routes and markets across the galaxy for multiple races and civilisations. Due to their incredibly thick hull and reactive armour, these ships are nearly indestructible to all threats except pirates which tend to be increasing in numbers around the BYG alliance, slowly becoming an increasing threat to Irisian trade. The Hermes Cargo’s purpose, as an NFT Play-To-Earn spaceship, resides in transporting mining resources between planets and the marketplace (i.e., facilitating trading across the galaxy). The Hermes cargo has a medium flight range of 20 parsecs.

Players can watch our guide below to learn more about this NFT Play-To-Earn spaceship:

Rewards

The Hermes Cargo charges planet owners a 25% cargo transportation fee in order to sell mined resources. This fee is spread out to all Hermes Cargo Spaceships that currently exist across the galaxy, which is around 200 units that have been manufactured. With the galaxy expanding, both in star sectors and within the existing star sector (S001 on the Binance Smart Chain), with more planets being discovered and sold through auctions, the amount of rewards for the Hermes Cargo increases.

With the Hermes Cargo spaceship, players have the opportunity to earn a rang of tokens by leasing their ship for cargo hauling services from the Planet Iris. These tokens include BYG, JAWS, LAND, HOD, and LAUNCH. With the increasing number of partnerships between Black Eye Galaxy and other projects both on and off-chain, the range of token rewards is ever-increasing.

Fuel and Repair Mechanics

The Hermes Cargo costs 1% damage per day while in the leasing period. Similar to other spaceships in Black Eye Galaxy, once the Herms Cargo reaches 70% damage, the player will need to repair their spaceship. To start this repair process, players must make sure they are not leasing their ship.

The Hermes Cargo Spaceship costs the player 2 BYG per day in fuel fees. Therefore, if the player were to lease out the Hermes Cargo for the maximum number of days (20 days) then this would cost the player 40 BYG to initiate the contract leasing.

Leasing Mechanics

Players can lease the Hermes Cargo Spaceship for cargo hauling for a maximum of 20 days per contract. Naturally, players will lease out the Hermes Cargo, usually for the maximum, amount of time. Players can claim rewards throughout this process or wait till their leasing has finished to claim rewards. After leasing has finished, players must “End the Lease” and can then re-lease their Hermes Cargo Spaceship again.
