Overview

Players will need to repair their spaceship at a certain stage, this is set universally across all spaceships at 70%. This means that as soon as players reach 70% damage to their spaceship, they will not be able to use the spaceship for its intended purpose and will instead need to travel to a Repair Station.

For example, if a player reaches 70% damage on their Asteroid Hunter, they will no longer be able to use the asteroid radar or mine asteroids. However, they still have the ability to travel using the flight map, this way players can travel to a repair station to repair damage caused to the ship.

Associated Costs with Non-Oracle System Assets

Repair, Damage, and Repairs

This applies to non-oracle based assets, including the MK1 Asteroid Hunter, Hermes Cargo, and Explorer spaceship.

Fuel costs players 2 BYG per parsec while in flight.

The following damage applies (players pays these repairs on non-oracle based system):

  • 0.5% damage per day while mining asteroids or collecting salvage.

  • 1% damage per parsec while in flight.

Repairs for spaceships cost 1 BYG per percentage of damage taken to the spaceship.

For example, if a spaceship was 70% damaged, this would cost the player 70 BYG.

99% of repair costs goes towards the repair station owner.

DAO Tax is a 1% tax that is taken off rewards received and is sent to the Black Eye Galaxy Treasurey. The DAO tax is applicable to planet rewards and repair stations.

Associated Costs with Oracle System Assets

Fuel, Damage, and Repairs

Fuel costs $0.40 cents per parsec for the Salvage Team.

Fuel costs $0.65 cents per parsec for the MK2 Asteroid Hunter.

The following damage applies (players pays these repairs on oracle based system):

  • 0.5% damage per day while mining asteroids or collecting salvage.

  • 1% damage per parsec while in flight.

Repairing your Salvage Team spaceship also operates on an oracle system, which means that repairs are tied to a dollar value.

This is $0.20 per percentage of damage inflicted to the Salvage Team. For example: 70% damage would cost $14.00 to repair the spaceship.

Repair costs for Oracle Based NFT Spaceships is set at $0.325 USD cents per 1% of damage taken on the spaceship (subject to change with the release of the MK2 Asteroid Hunter).

99% of repair costs goes towards the repair station owner.

DAO Tax is a 1% tax that is taken off rewards received and is sent to the Black Eye Galaxy Treasurey. The DAO tax is applicable to planet rewards and repair stations.

100% of fuel costs for spaceships goes towards in-game reward pools.

Time to Repair

The time to repair is also the same across all spaceship. This stands at 1 Hour per percentage of damage taken to the spaceship.

For example, if a spaceship was 70% damaged, this would take 70 Hours to fully repair the damage taken to the spaceship.

Players can stake BYG into the new reputation system to unclock powers that significantly decrease this waiting time so players can get their spaceship out of the repair dock and back into space to serve their purpose.

How is damage caused?

Damage is caused to spaceships in nearly function of the ship. This includes:

  • Damage during flight process

  • Damage during the mining/collecting salvage process

During the flight or travel for spaceships, the following damage mechanics apply:

  • Salvage Teams, Asteroid Hunters, Hermes Cargo, and the Explorer spaceship take 1% damage per parsec while in flight.

  • During the mining process for Salvage Teams and Asteroid Hunters, these spaceships take 0.5% damage per day while mining/collecting salvage.

Players can find the damage percentage of their spaceship by navigating to the asset. Players will find the damage percentage on their info bar (as shown in the image attached).

How to find a Repair Station?

Step 1: Navigate to your spaceship asset and click the “Star Map” (note: your ship must be idle to locate this button).

Step 2: This will open the Star Map where the player will need to click on the Star Systems visible and locate the closest Star System (note: the closest Star System is the Star System which takes the smallest amount of time to travel to).

Step 3: Once you have found the closest Star System, you need to look for the Repair Station Icon next to the planet name. The repair station looks like this:

Step 4: Once you have located a planet with a Repair Station, you will need to start travelling to that planet (this may take some time depending on your location in the galaxy).

Step 5: Once you have arrived at the Repair Station, you will find a “Repair Station” button at the bottom of the asset page.

Step 6: Now select on the bar what percentage you want to repair the spaceship and click “Send to Repair Station”.

Step 7: Now you will find (once refreshing the page) your spaceship is under repair. You can check the repair process here and click “Retrieve Spaceship” once the spaceship has finished repairing.
