MK1 The Salvage Team
The MK1 Salvage Team is a unique brand-new NFT spaceship in Black Eye Galaxy that has a very attractive play to earn model while also offering an entry-level price into the project.
Overview
Total Units Available: Minting Sold Out Release date: 6th December 2021 Standard Mint Price: $50.00 (for Level 1, upgrades cost additional values) Economic Model: Oracle + Mining Efficiency Decay System
The MK1 Salvage Team enables players to send out their spaceship and use the salvage locator system (radar) to locate different rarities of salvage in their proximity across the galaxy. Once the salvage has been located, the player can start a flight towards that specific salvage and then the player can start a salvage collection process. During this process, salvage is collected and stored in the spaceship under its mining capacity system (how much salvage it can hold). Once this collection process has ended, the player can either keep collecting salvage elsewhere or send their MK1 Salvage Team spaceship to a salvage depot where they can trade their salvage for the BYG token based on a dollar value. Players will mint a Level 1 MK1 Salvage Team NFT spaceship that costs $50.00. Players can upgrade their MK1 Salvage Team at the salvage depot. Players can upgrade up to Level 5. By upgrading their MK1 Salvage Team spaceship at the salvage depot, players can both increase their salvage capacity and dramatically increase the speed at which the spaceship collects salvage.
MK1 Salvage Team Spaceship Level's Overview
The MK1 Salvage Team spaceship can be upgraded up to Level 5. By upgrading the spaceship players can both increase their salvage capacity and dramatically increase the speed at which the spaceship collects salvage. In addition, by upgrading levels, players receive a new skin (applied to the spaceship) for each level that is progressed. Below is a table outlining the total cost for each level and the upgrade cost. The Salvage Team spaceship is currently mintable on the marketplace for $50.00 which provides players with a Level 1 spaceship. Players can decide whether they want to upgrade by using the table below:

Economic Earning Model
These prices, as shown in the table above, are attached to an economic earning model known as Oracle. This system simply attaches a dollar value to an asset. This includes the price of the asset, as shown above, as well as the rewards that the asset produces. Salvage (otherwise known as scrap) that is collected by the MK1 Salvage Team spaceship has a dollar value attached to it. For the MK1 Salvage Team spaceship, 1 tonne of salvage/scrap is equivalent to $1.00. This Oracle system is also attached to costs for upgrades, as shown in the table above, the player will pay a dollar value of BYG to upgrade and also mint the asset. For example, to mint the MK1 Salvage Team NFT for $50.00 at a BYG price of $0.05 would cost 1,000 BYG.
Current or existing MK1 Salvage Team spaceships will remain fixed on the Oracle system. When the price fluctuates upwards, it is more than likely that current MK1 Salvage Teams will stop being able to mint on the marketplace and a new MK1 Salvage Team (e.g. version 2) will release on a non-oracle earning model. A new MK1 Salvage Team spaceship will release also with mining 2.0 features - our newest iteration of in-game reward logic.
A mining efficiency decay system (currently in development) will also be applied to the MK1 Salvage Team current and later revisions of the MK1 Salvage Team spaceship NFT. This system will ensure players earn their 100% ROI faster than before which re-risks players investments in assets. Likewise, after the 100% ROI has been made, the efficiency of APR will gradually reduce slowly as the player earns more (fills up their capacity on their spaceship). Without some kind of earning efficiency penalty, the inflow of funds has to exponentially grow to offset the outflow of funds. With this new model, we will see a steady decline of sell pressure over the lifetime of an asset while maintaining an appealing APR for players.
Summary of advantages: Advantages of this model are that rewards will always be best for new assets and new players while the sell pressure gradually decreases as the player makes more and more returns, lower-earning rate equals higher realised gains on assets, so players receiving the lowest APR are the ones that have already received the highest ROI. This places a twist on the conventional Oracle model commonly seen in other projects.

Salvage Team Upgrades
As outlined before, upgrading the Salvage Team spaceship up to Level 5 increases the spaceship's total capacity and also decreases the time required to collect salvage. These benefits are detailed in the table below:
Salvage Team Level 1
242t
39 days
Salvage Team Level 2
522t (+280t)
17 days (- 22 days)
Salvage Team Level 3

The player can upgrade their Salvage Team spaceship at a Salvage Depot building. These are located across the galaxy and are player owned, located at some player planets. Players can also find salvage depots within Star Alliances across the galaxy.
Salvage Team owners must pay a 3% fee when selling any amount of salvage/scrap at a Salvage Depot. This reward goes toward the planet owner or owner of the Salvage Depot.
Check out the Salvage Depot below:
Types of Salvage/Scrap
There are multiple types of salvage that can be discovered across the Black Eye Galaxy. These types of salvage include: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary salvage. Finding rarer salvage means that the player can achieve their ROI faster and earn the BYG token quicker by filling the salvage capacity of the spaceship and trading it at a salvage depot. The table below outlines the types of salvage available to find and their corresponding rewards range:
Common
20-24t
Uncommon
25-28t
Rare
29-34t
Epic
35-39t
Legendary
63-76t
Operational Costs
Fuel
Fuel costs $0.40 cents per parsec/day for the Salvage Team spaceship. Example: 3 days of flight would cost $1.20 worth of BYG for the player.
Players can also use the warp drive to warp instantly salvage across the galaxy. Players can warp up to 5-parsecs. The costs for this are detailed below.
1-Parsec
$6.5
2-Parsec
$10.9
3-Parsec
$14
4-Parsec
$16.2
5-Parsec
$17.6
Repairs
Repairs cost $0.20 per percentage of the damage inflicted to the Salvage Team.
The following damage applies:
0.5% damage per day while collecting salvage
1% damage per parsec while in flight
Example: 70% damage would cost $14.00 worth of BYG for the player to repair their spaceship.
Once the Salvage Team reaches 70% damage, the player will no longer be able to use the salvage collector system (radar) or collect salvage. However, players will be able to fly across the galaxy in search of a repair station – which are located in nearly every star system. Players will need to repair their spaceship below 70% damage in order to continue collecting salvage.
Gas Fees
Players will have to pay BNB for gas fees or transactions when interacting with the spaceship. Players should keep some BNB in their wallets to pay for these small transactions.
The implementation of off-chain transactions, expected middle of march, would remove many transaction costs for players, saving players from spending as much BNB when managing their Salvage Team asset.
The Salvage Team spaceship must repair at 70% damage to be able to continue to use the salvage collector radar system and to collect salvage.
Reiterations of the Salvage Team
The team will eventually stop the sale of the current Salvage Team NFT spaceship in order to release a new iteration, such as MK2 Salvage Team, that will operate on a non-oracle economic earning model and will have the latest mining 2.0 changes applied with mining efficiency decay and appropriate multipliers applied.
BYG Credit System Guide
With the introduction of off-chain transactions, an off-chain currency system was developed to pay for fuel and repairs for the Salvage Team Spaceship. This in-game payment system is known as the BYG credit system.
An overview of a player's BYG Credits can be found in players "My Assets" (see photo below).
Here players can see their BYG Credits balance. BYG Credits can be deposited by clicking the "Deposit" button and entering the number of BYG they wish to deposit in credits - this works on a 1-1 system (10 BYG = 10 BYG Credits). Players will need credits to pay for fuel and repairs for the Salvage Team Spaceship. Players are also rewarded in BYG Credits from their Salvage Team asset when players sell scrap at a salvage depot. All rewards are automatically deposited into the player's profile without the need to claim and cancel the mining process. Importantly, players can also click the "Withdraw" button to exchange their BYG Credits for the $BYG token.
In addition, players can also find more information on their BYG Credits by clicking the "In-Game Wallet" button.
By clicking the "In-Game Wallet" button in My Assets, players can find information on their recent transactions. Because all interactions with the Salvage Team are mostly off-chain apart from withdraws, transactions using the BYG Credits are not recorded on the BSC network due to not paying any gas/transaction fees.
The Black Eye Galaxy team have also created a way for players to keep track of their BYG Credits transactions. In the image above you will see incoming and outgoing transactions for flight costs, rewards from mining, and the purchase of the asteroid permit. Players can also deposit and withdraw (exchange) BYG credits on this screen as well as on the "My Assets" page. Players can also calculate their profits by inputting the necessary dates onto the website as seen in the image below:

Guides
How to upgrade the Salvage Team?
Step 1: Go onto your Salvage Team asset
Step 2: Click on “Star Map” and locate your current system
Step 3: Click on the star system and look through the planets in the star system. On the right side next to the planet names, you should find (depending on the planet) icons next to the planet name. The Salvage Depot icon is located on the right-hand side, it looks like a piece of scrap.
Step 4: Once you have arrived at the planet that owns the Salvage Depot, you can “End Flight” and click “Upgrade Spaceship” button on the asset page. Players can upgrade from level 1 to level 5. Players can also chose to upgrade straight to level 5 if they wish.
How to use the Salvage Team?
Step 1: Navigate to your Salvage Team asset
Step 2: Click on the “Salvage Locator System” button
Step 3: This will open up the salvage radar that looks like this:
Step 4: Locate salvage in your proximity by clicking on each salvage icon and clicking the “Details” button.
Step 5: By clicking the “Details” button, you can check the salvage rarity level on the screen of the salvage. You will see a label that will display the type of salvage (either common, uncommon, rare, epic, or legendary).
Underneath, you will also see the amount of salvage that you could collect by starting a collection process. Go through and repeat this process on all salvage in your area until you have found which salvage you wish to continue with.
Step 6: Once you have decided on the salvage to travel to, you can return to the salvage radar and click back onto the salvage. This time, you will want to click the “Send Here” button and authenticate the transaction with your wallet.
Step 7: Now you will need to wait the required number of days to arrive at the salvage. As soon you have arrived, you should see the option “End Flight” on your Salvage Team asset page.
Step 8: Once you have ended your flight, you are now ready to start collecting the salvage. You can do this by clicking the “Start Collecting” button on the asset page.
Step 9: Now you will need to wait the specified number of days until the collection process has finished. Players can cancel out of this process whenever they wish, this will not affect the salvage that has been collected during the active collection time.
Step 9: You can check how long you have left until the collection process is done by going onto the asset and checking underneath the specifications area:
Step 10: Once the hours counter underneath “Resources of salvage” is on 0 – this indicates that you have finished the collection process, and now you can click “End Collecting” button on the asset page.
Step 11: Now you can repeat the process of searching for more salvage on the Salvage Locator System.
How to sell salvage/scrap?
Step 1: Click on the “Star Map” button on your salvage team asset
Step 2: Locate the closest star system and click on the star system
Step 3: Now you will find a list of planets and icons next to the planet names
Step 4: You will need to locate a Salvage Depot. The icons appear as a piece of scrap. Once you have found a planet with a salvage depot, you need to start a flight to that planet. If your current star system does not have a salvage depot, find the closest star system to you that does.
Step 5: Once you have arrived at the planet, “End Flight” and click the “Sell Salvage” button.
Step 6: Here you can sell your Salvage Balance (note: when selling salvage you will pay a 3% fee to salvage depot owners for the exchange) (note: when you sell your Salvage Balance, this will reduce or take effect on the total capacity of your Salvage Team level).
For example, if a player were to sell 50 tonnes of scrap at a Level 1 Salvage Team (that has a capacity of 242 tonnes), the player will have used up 50 tonnes of capacity and will only be able to collect the remainder that is 192 tonnes.
Price = the dollar value of $1.00 in BYG
Salvage balance = the balance of salvage you have collected and stored in your ships capacity
Total salvage cost = total worth of the salvage collected in BYG
Salvage station tax = 3% tax from your total salvage cost
You will receive = your receivable amount after tax
Step 7: Click the “Confirm” button when you are ready to approve the trade transaction. Now you are done, and the receivable amount will appear in your wallet.
