Spawn Mechanics

Salvage/Asteroid Respawn Logic

Asteroids and salvage will spawn randomly within discovered areas.

If players are struggling to locate asteorids or salvage in their given location then players have a few options:

  • Use the “Flight System” to travel to another star system in an attempt to find another pocket of asteroid/salvage.

  • Asteroids/salvage have a 50% probability of moving throughout the galaxy. Therefore, the player can chose to wait until other asteroids/salvage enter the radar proximit for the player. There is no specific expected time for this proces.

  • Players could also decide to use the warp drive system to warp to asteriods/salvage that are further away and by doing this they might find higher density areas of asteroids/salvage. This option is likely more pleasing with the use of the warp drive discounts available through the reputation system tree.

Minting Logic

Spaceships will randomly spawn but always in proximity to a star.

Summary

The outcome of these two spawn logics is that there will be a higher density of spaceships around stars, which will lead to a lower density of resources around these areas. Thus, players will need to explore and leave the proximity of star systems to find higher density areas of asteroids/salvage if they want to maintain a low flight duration.
