Staking $BYG into the Reputation System!

The reputation system provides players the ability to stake $BYG tokens to unlock a range of benefits and powers. Players receive a starting 10% APR on all BYG staked, which can be increased by staking and achieving higher levels in the reputation system, unlocking higher APR pools. By staking and unlocking levels, players also unlock a range of powers that can significantly improve their gameplay when using in-game assets such as the Asteroid Hunter or Salvage Team.

The current reputation system is based on a single tree. However, 2 more trees will also be developed when more in game elements and gameplay are introduced. In this sense, the reputation system will be consistently developed upon bringing more staking opportunities which allows the game to facilitate staking benefits for future product releases – such as 3D gameplay.

Players can increase the reputation level by staking more BYG Tokens regardless of oracle exchange rate, although this will reflect the dollar value in which they stake and receive levels.

Players do not lose powers or levels once they achieve a specific level in the oracle tied reputation system. What this means is that players once achieving a level unlocks that specified power and get to keep that level that they achieved at the BYG price. However, the player must keep their BYG staked to keep their powers and level. If players unstake and decide to stake again, then they will have to pay a different amount of BYG depending on existing BYG price to achieve their desired level.

Types of powers available

Tech Upgrade: Grants the ability to see the rarity of asteroids and salvage on the player's radar. This can save significant amounts of time as the player will be able to easily check the rarity of asteroids and salvage without having to manually click through each asteroid and salvage on the asteroid radar or salvage locator system.

Strategic Update: Grants the ability to see other players on your asteroids radar or salvage locator system. Can be useful when managing your assets and future path in-game.

Build Speed: Increases the speed at which your construction takes to build planet add-ons. This can be useful for planet owners and saves planet owners a lot of time throughout the construction process.

Ladar System: Grants players an extra parsec (square) of range on the asteroid radar or salvage locator system. This would mean that players can potentially discover more asteroids further away and plan journeys (i.e., better management of assets and increased chances of finding rarer asteroids by having an increased view range around the spaceship).

Mechanics: Hate having to wait long periods of time to repair your spaceship? This power grants the player reducing repair times, which can save players more time and mean that players can quickly move their assets back out into space to start mining or collecting salvage once again.

Economic: This power grants the player an additional 10% APR on their staked BYG. Players can achieve up to 30% APR through this power.

Propulsion: Grants the player a reduction in the cost for fuel.

Engineering: Grants the player reduced flight time, which can be a very beneficial power for players as it means that players can travel across the galaxy faster.

Warp Drive: Grants the player small discounts to the warp drive cost across all assets, making it increasingly beneficial to use the warp drive system when travelling between asteroids and salvage.

Planet refill: Increases the refill amount for planet owners in the new refill mechanism system coming soon as a planet add-on for planet owners.

Time Dilation: Grants the player a reduction in time to unlock powers as players achieve each level in the reputation system.

Players must wait 3 days to unlock each power in the reputation system. This time can be significantly reduced by unlocking Time Dilation power in the reputation system which is available at levels 11 and 20.

Oracle Mechanics in the Reputation System

The reputation system operates using the Oracle system. What this means is that players will need to stake BYG according to a dollar value to achieve each level in the reputation system.

For instance, to unlock Level 1, players must stake $50.00 worth of BYG. If BYG was worth 10 cents, this would be 500 BYG to unlock Level 1.

Players cannot lose reputation levels once they stake the required amount of BYG to unlock a level, this is to protect players from different market conditions.
